The Cecil County Board of REALTORS® was established in 1959. Today, we boast a membership of over 900 members.
The purpose of the Cecil County Board of REALTORS® is to enhance the ability and opportunity of its members to conduct their business successfully and ethically; and to promote the preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real property.
The Cecil County Board of REALTORS® represents its members in all real estate specialties by supporting a legislative and legal environment favorable to its members.
The Board provides opportunities for professional growth through education. The Board communicates information to its members that will help them succeed in their business activities.
REALTORS® established their Code of Ethics in 1913 and it has survived as a viable and relevant guide because it is a living document. As times have changed, new needs and insights have been recognized and as the law has developed, the Code has been amended as necessary to keep pace with the changing real estate profession. With all the amendments, the philosophical premise of the Code has remained unchanged in promoting the highest level of integrity and fair business practices.
The Code of Ethics offers to REALTORS® the lessons of hindsight, the guidance of foresight and the understanding of insight - A Rare Gift of Vision.
The Code of Ethics regulates a REALTORS® conduct in various transactions with other REALTORS® and with clients and customers. The public may contact the Board of REALTORS® regarding complaints about suspected infractions of the Code of Ethics by REALTORS®.
The Cecil County Board of REALTORS® also maintains a Board Store. Such products as calculators, electronic room measuring devices, info boxes, info tubes, maps and related items are available to members and the public.

This free publication is printed bi-weekly and is distributed to over 300 locations in Cecil County, Harford County, northern Kent County, southern Chester County, PA and nearby New Castle County, DE.
